Alex Pole has been working as British Blacksmith, Axemaker and Bladesmith since 1995. He forges traditional cookware, kitchenware and Garden Tools by hand from carbon and stainless steel. Alex works from his forge in Dorset creating high quality functional products for the home and garden.
Alex first approached us with a sketch of a bespoke wooden handle he wanted turning for his Garden Tools range. Creating a plywood template from Alex's sketch we then did a small batch run on the Copy Lathe to produce Alex's range of handles
The handles were turned from sustainably sourced English Oak and fine sanded to finish
Each handle was then fitted with one of our in house made copper ferrules
Alex Pole's stunning range of Garden Tools include; Weeding Forks, Garden and Onion Hoes, Small Potting and Garden Trowels. All hand forged by Alex and fitted with our English Oak handles!
The latest handle to add to Alex's collection is the Kitchen Cleaver Handle.
